As a **Security Officer - Armed Shopping Patrols** in **Houston, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving position, where you will engage with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.

+ Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal policies.

+ Provide visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted behaviors.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
