As a **Security Officer - Unarmed Education Patrol** in **Philadelphia, PA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic education location. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and maintain a visible presence throughout the campus. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients, students, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the educational environment.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual activity.

+ Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.

+ Work collaboratively with campus personnel and/or local authorities as needed during incidents or emergencies.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal policies and client site requirements.

+ Support a welcoming and secure environment for all individuals at the location by providing visible presence and customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
