Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description

Work alongside engineering teams to read and apply mechanical and electrical schematics for machinery components, wiring, and system layouts, ensuring alignment with design intent. Assist engineers during on-site testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of machinery in manufacturing environments, providing feedback and implementing adjustments as directed. Maintain close communication with engineers throughout projects, actively contributing to design changes, resolving technical issues, and optimizing equipment performance based on engineering input. Regularly report progress, findings, and recommendations to engineers, ensuring transparency and accuracy in all technical activities. Execute tasks that translate engineering concepts into practical solutions, reinforcing team objectives and quality standards.

Responsibilities

+ Assist in on-site testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of machinery.

+ Provide feedback and implement adjustments as directed by engineers.

+ Maintain close communication with engineers to contribute to design changes and resolve technical issues.

+ Optimize equipment performance based on engineering input.

+ Report progress, findings, and recommendations to engineers.

+ Translate engineering concepts into practical solutions.

Essential Skills

+ Electrical and mechanical schematic understanding.

+ Mechanical aptitude.

+ Strong teamwork and reporting skills.

+ Understanding of mechanical components.

+ Electrical troubleshooting and equipment installation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with PLCs or automated manufacturing environments is a plus.

+ Ability to review or interpret CAD drawings for mechanical layouts is a plus.

+ Attention to detail.

Work Environment

The role operates in a shop environment with 20% travel required, typically for 3-5 days at a time. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Paris, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
