    Job Description

    The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects from inception to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with high-quality standards and client expectations.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

    + Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor costs, and implement corrective actions as needed.

    + Lead project teams, including subcontractors and vendors, ensuring effective communication and adherence to a Safety First culture, ensuring zero incidents and adherence to OSHA standards.

    + Maintain strict quality control throughout all phases of construction.

    + Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and internal leadership; provide regular progress updates.

    + Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

    + Prepare project status reports, change orders, and closeout documentation.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    + 5+ years of experience in heavy civil or marine construction project management.

    + Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and industry standards.

    + Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with DOT, municipal, and marine infrastructure projects.

    + 2+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction.

    + Experience with projects of $15 Million+ in size.

    + Proficiency with Procore/Bluebeam.

    + Experience in heavy civil construction, marine construction, highway construction, railroad, and foundation construction.

    + Nice to have: Experience in marine, open water, and shoreline construction.

    Work Environment

    The role is onsite 5 days a week at the corporate office, unless working for Electric Boat, which is based in the Groton Office. The New London location features a 250,000 sq ft fabrication shop. The company owns all its equipment and fabricates its parts to high military-grade standards. The company is an ABC Member and handles highly technical and challenging projects for high-end clients, including the Department of Transportation and Department of Defense.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Plantsville, CT.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
