Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. This role involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of automation and production equipment, contributing to the efficiency of operations, and leading a small support team. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical, mechanical, and/or pneumatic systems. The mission is to ensure all equipment functions optimally and safely, thereby enhancing the overall production process.

Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with the Engineering Team to support implementation and design testing for optimal facility operations.

+ Evaluate and troubleshoot automation systems, including conveyor systems and automated packaging machinery.

+ Diagnose failures in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems, and execute corrective actions.

+ Ensure all technical activities comply with FDA, OSHA, and food safety regulations.

+ Manage inventory using Kanban and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for efficient stock control.

+ Provide rapid support for equipment breakdowns during active production hours.

+ Uphold clean room standards and strictly follow food safety procedures.

+ Lead engineering technicians and manufacturing engineering staff in skill development and process implementation to foster a stable manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

+ Associate's Degree within Engineering Discipline

+ 2+ years of experience working with CAD software for redesign of industrial equipment

+ 2+ years of design testing experience and troubleshooting maintenance of production and automation equipment

+ Ability to work with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals

+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across multiple departments

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Manufacturing experience within the Food and Beverage Industry

+ Supervision or management experience within Manufacturing

Work Environment

The work environment includes 65 to 70 employees onsite. The 1st shift is fully onsite from Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM EST. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brownsburg, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.
