Position Overview
The Marketing Director leads the strategic development and execution of marketing initiatives that drive brand growth, market share, and profitability. This position oversees product marketing, specification pull-through, and marketing communications—including digital marketing, trade shows, and social media engagement. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry experience in construction materials, work cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, and Customers to identify new growth opportunities, manage the stage gate process, and collaborate with leadership to evaluate potential opportunities that align with Master Builders Solutions’ growth strategy.
The Marketing Director is an active member of the Global Marketing community, where the expectation is to collaborate and exchange with the different regional teams to optimize efficiencies and time to market for new developments. The Director also represents the North American business in the Global Innovation Management process.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with business objectives and brand standards.
+ Work closely with R&D, Sales, and key customers to identify and prioritize new market opportunities and product offerings.
+ Guide the product management team to ensure effective lifecyclemanagement, from ideation through commercialization.
+ Ensure proper execution and governance of the stage gate process for new product development, ensuring projects meet market needs, timelines, and profitability goals.
+ Partner with executive leadership to assess potential opportunities that expand capabilities and market presence.
+ Drive brand growth by enhancing visibility, consistency, and market differentiation across all communication platforms.
+ Collaborate with and provide direction to the Marketing Communications Manager for trade shows, public relations, advertising, website, SEO/SEM, and social media strategies.
+ Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Engineering team to drive specification pull-through and increase product adoption within the architectural, design and construction community.
+ Establish overall marketing KPIs and reporting systems to measure campaign performance and ROI.
+ Oversee annual marketing budgets and allocate resources to achieve strategic objectives.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, strongly preferred.
+ Minimum 10 years of progressive marketing experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
+ Experience in the concrete, construction materials, or industrial manufacturing industries required.
+ Proven success developing and executing strategic marketing plans that drive measurable business growth.
+ Experience managing stage gate processes and collaborating with R&D and Sales on new product development
+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
+ Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
+ Proficiency in CRM, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
+ Willingness to travel up to 25% for trade shows, customer visits, and industry events.
