    Job Description

    In this role, you will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, including forklifts, to receive, store, and distribute materials, parts, and supplies. You will utilize wireless RF scanning equipment to direct the disposition of materials. This position is based in Waterloo, Iowa.

    Responsibilities

    + Safely operate material handling equipment such as sit-down forklifts and reach trucks to move racks, containers, pallets, and crates.

    + Move, locate, relocate, load, unload, and stack material in the assigned area.

    + Perform routine daily equipment inspections and escalate any issues.

    + Gather finished orders for movement to the outbound shipping area.

    + Ensure products are labeled and free of damages, overages, and shortages.

    + Accurately complete all related paperwork.

    + Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company.

    + Observe and comply with all safety procedures and guidelines.

    + Ensure that materials loaded for transport are properly stacked and secured.

    + Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, removing scrap, pallets, cardboard, etc.

    + Maintain regular and reliable attendance at work.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma required

    + 2+ years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

    + Previous experience with RF scanning equipment

    + Ability to understand instructions in English

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a hectic and fast-paced environment that can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. As a material handler, you'll interact with everyone from office staff to assemblers and janitors. You'll work within a docking station as well as up and down warehouse aisles and assembly cells. The dress code includes wearing jeans and steel-toed shoes.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.50 - $26.50/hr.
