Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities. You will be responsible for completing preventive maintenance, organizing maintenance practices, and performing operational maintenance on assigned equipment. Your role includes electrical repairs, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and assisting with equipment and production challenges.

Responsibilities

+ Complete preventive maintenance and maintain organization in maintenance practices.

+ Perform operational maintenance on assigned equipment.

+ Enter all work performed into CMMS (MP@2).

+ Conduct electrical repairs on 480v, 220v, and 110v AC/DC systems.

+ Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

+ Troubleshoot, repair, and replace bearings, cylinders, and other mechanical parts.

+ Perform MIG welding.

+ Assist Blade Technician with setup and repairs.

+ Support the operations department with equipment and production issues.

+ Conduct mechanical troubleshooting using power and hand tools.

+ Maintain and repair packaging machines.

Essential Skills

+ Mechanical troubleshooting

+ Maintenance repair

+ Experience with conveyors, electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics

+ Ability to read schematics and blueprints

+ Preventive maintenance and electrical troubleshooting skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ At least 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in mechanical and electrical repairs is a plus

+ Ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and perform repairs

+ MIG welding skills

+ Military career in mechanical or electrical fields is advantageous

+ Proficiency in computer skills using Word, Excel, and maintenance software

Work Environment

Our facility specializes in cleaning, rinsing, cutting, and distributing various types of produce. The work environment is cold and wet, with temperatures maintained between 34-40 degrees. Due to constant sanitation and washing of equipment and products, floors are consistently wet. The facility uses Chlorine and Citric Acid for cleaning, resulting in a noticeable smell. Candidates should be aware of potential allergies to Chlorine.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Covington, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $32.00/hr.
