    Job Title: Machine Operator Trainee

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Machine Operator Trainee in a bustling facility dedicated to manufacturing stainless steel tubing. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our products by assisting in the operation of machines that correct imperfections in tubing. This position involves significant manual labor, requiring physical stamina to move, shove, push, and pull tubing throughout the day. Successful candidates will be actively involved in understanding work orders, operating machinery, and inputting data into our computer systems for subsequent processing stages.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist in operating machines to straighten imperfections in stainless steel tubing.

    + Engage in manual labor, including moving, shoving, pushing, and pulling tubing.

    + Understand and execute work orders attached to product bundles.

    + Input completed task information into the computer system for next processing steps.

    + Explain in detail the type of work performed, including specific machinery operated.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing role.

    + Ability to understand work orders and manufacturing processes.

    + Experience in mechanical manufacturing or machine operation.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet all day.

    + Familiarity with tools like micrometers and calipers is advantageous.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in a skilled trade such as plumbing or carpentry is beneficial.

    + CNC experience is a plus but not required.

    + Experience as a machine operator, assembly, or production worker is desirable.

    Work Environment

     

    Our manufacturing facility is large and non-climate controlled, which can result in varying temperatures and noise levels. You will work on the second shift from 2 pm to 12:30 am, Monday through Thursday, with the potential for overtime on Fridays. Initial training occurs on the first shift (4 am to 2:30 pm) for about a month, but adjustments can be made if necessary. The role involves a standard 40-hour workweek with opportunities for additional hours.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
