Job Title: Air Compressor Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Air Compressor Technician to provide service and maintenance in the metro-Detroit area, extending up to Saginaw and over to Lansing. You will be responsible for servicing a variety of facilities including hospitals, automotive suppliers, and shops, with a focus on air dryers and compressors. Each day begins with preparing work orders and parts from our Troy location, followed by travelling to job sites to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customer concerns. This role requires direct interaction with customers to ensure their satisfaction.

Responsibilities

+ Service and maintain air dryers and air compressors at various facilities.

+ Prepare work orders and gather necessary parts each morning.

+ Travel to job sites to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customer concerns.

+ Interface directly with customers to provide excellent service and address their needs.

Essential Skills

+ Proficient in electrical, pneumatic, and compressor repair.

+ Strong troubleshooting skills in refrigeration, air conditioning, and HVAC equipment.

+ Experience with air dryers, generators, and refrigeration systems.

+ Ability to read electrical blueprints and work with 3-phase, 480V electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 4 years of experience in air compressor work, including piston, rotary screw, refrigerated air, and reciprocated units.

+ Experience with mechanical and pneumatic systems.

+ Skills in refrigeration, welding, and automotive maintenance are a plus.

Work Environment

This role involves being on the road for most of the week, starting at the office each day to gather schedules and heading out to customers. Technicians are provided with a company credit card, gas card, company truck, and a cell phone. There is an on-call rotation every 4-5 weeks, which requires 24/7 availability during that period. Uniforms are issued for this position.

This is a Permanent position based out of Troy, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $62400.00/yr.
