Job Title: Press Operator

Pay: $20 - $22 an hour

Shift: 3rd shift

Job Description

Operators will lead in all aspects of the operation of Press lines, including changeovers, machine start-up, running, and shut-down. The role supports operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, with a primary focus on Safety. Operators will run all jobs in accordance with customer specifications, manufacturing specifications, print specifications, color folders, and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

+ Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely, including production reports, job verification sheets, ink usage sheets, QA reports, roll tickets, and S.O.C sheets.

+ Work with and direct the press assistant and pit crew to minimize job change-over and downtime.

+ Train and direct the press assistant to become efficient at all required assistant duties as defined in each level of the assistant training matrix.

+ Comply with all 5S and WCM initiatives, including cross-training and moving to the work.

+ Understand and ensure product safety compliance.

+ Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Essential Skills

+ 1+ year of manufacturing experience

+ Ability to work 12-hour shifts

+ Ability to stand for the entire shift

+ Ability to enter data into a computer system

+ Ability to work independently

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in production, machine operating, lamination, and packaging

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs as needed

+ Proficiency with hand tools

+ Training will be provided on the machinery

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean and temperature-controlled, featuring large printing presses. You will work both independently and as part of a team. The schedule includes 12-hour shifts, from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM, Monday through Thursday, with a potential for a fifth day. Be prepared to handle an adhesive smell throughout the facility.

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
