    Overview Of The Role

     

    We currently have four active projects in the State of Georgia, all associated with power plant facilities. Work includes earthmoving, site grading, ground demolition, and more.

     

    The **Roaming** **Project Engineer/Quality Control** is responsible for visiting project sites to ensure adherence to quality standards and protocols across all construction and industrial services projects. This role is critical to maintaining AIS Infrastructure's high-quality deliverables, ensuring customer satisfaction, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

     

    Your Opportunity

     

    As a **Project Engineer/Quality Control** with our Power Plant Group, you'll have the opportunity to expand your experience in heavy civil with projects throughout Georgia.. You'll gain onsite experience with projects involving power generation, power transmission expansion, earthwork, and planning-working with city and state agencies as well as private clients. In addition, you'll have access to significant career growth opportunities on a national scale, supported by a company with a strong backlog of projects across the United States.

    Your Work Will Include:

    + Assist in developing and implementing project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule.

    + Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and assessments to evaluate project requirements and constraints.

    + Prepare detailed engineering designs, specifications, and drawings.

    + Prepare project work plans, work element plans, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).

    + Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project requirements are met.

    + Manage project engineering assignments and activities to ensure compliance with company, contract, and schedule requirements.

    + Provide technical support in construction planning, quality control, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, and constructability reviews.

    + Develop and maintain all job reporting, including quality control reports and logs to ensure project compliance.

    + Conduct regular onsite inspections and audits to assess compliance with quality standards and specifications. This will require regular travel to one or more project sites.

    + Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines for construction and industrial services projects.

    + Identify and address any quality issues, non-conformities, or deficiencies in construction processes, materials, or workmanship.

    + Onsite collaborate with project teams to establish corrective actions and preventive measures to improve quality performance.

    + Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure alignment with quality requirements.

    + Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding quality control practices and requirements.

    Here's what you'll need

    + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline

    + 5+ years of experience in the construction industry (civil and earthwork projects or others)

    + Familiarity with relevant equipment and software

    + Strong knowledge of quality control principles

    + Ability to travel to various project sites (per diem and other perks provided when needed). Most of the travel will be within the outer Atlanta, GA area.

    Ideally, You'll Also Have experience

    + Construction experience combined with a Civil Engineering degree

    + Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to secured facilities, including military bases
