Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Santa Ana, California. This is a Contract to permanent employment opportunity, offering potential for career advancement within a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll operations with precision and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple states using Dayforce software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Review and audit timekeeping records while addressing any discrepancies to maintain compliance and accuracy.

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

• Prepare detailed payroll reports and assist with year-end activities, including tax filings and W-2 generation.

• Maintain payroll records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

• Calculate and manage deductions for benefits, garnishments, and other payroll-related items.

• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to support payroll and benefits operations effectively.

• Stay informed of federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance in all payroll processes.

• Participate in payroll system updates and testing to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume setting.

• Proficiency in Dayforce HR/Payroll software is essential.

• Strong understanding of payroll practices, multi-state regulations, and compliance standards.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage time effectively.

• Capability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite tools.

• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams is preferred.
