Description

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Eugene, Oregon. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and has experience managing payroll processes for large organizations across multiple states. As the main point of contact for payroll operations, you will ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing payments for our workforce.

Responsibilities:

• Handle end-to-end payroll processing for a workforce of approximately 800 employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Manage multi-state payroll operations, addressing state-specific requirements and tax considerations.

• Review and verify payroll data for accuracy, collaborating with team members to double-check numbers and resolve discrepancies.

• Process bi-monthly payroll cycles, including additional bonus payroll runs during December.

• Utilize UKG Ready to efficiently manage payroll tasks and maintain accurate records.

• Monitor and address payroll-related issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure employee satisfaction.

• Ensure proper documentation of payroll actions and maintain compliance with reporting standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams to review and approve time entries prior to payroll submission.

• Stay up to date on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

• Provide support for audits or inquiries related to payroll operations.

Requirements • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll management, preferably for organizations with over 500 employees.

• Expertise in handling multi-state payroll processes and understanding tax regulations.

• Proficiency in using payroll systems such as UKG Ready and UKG Pro.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensuring payroll accuracy.

• Ability to work collaboratively with team members to verify and process payroll data.

• Knowledge of payroll compliance requirements and reporting standards.

• Excellent problem-solving skills to address payroll-related issues promptly.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple payroll cycles efficiently.
