Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to manage key accounting functions in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will excel in handling accounts payable tasks with precision and efficiency while contributing to the overall financial operations of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices by reviewing, coding, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Manage timely and accurate payments to vendors through checks, ACH, or wire transfers.

• Reconcile accounts payable records and resolve discrepancies with vendors and team members.

• Maintain the AP ledger and participate in month-end closing activities.

• Handle expense reports by verifying approvals and supporting documentation prior to processing.

• Respond to inquiries related to accounts payable and provide assistance to internal departments.

• Keep accurate and organized records that align with document retention policies.

• Support ad-hoc financial projects and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 is preferred but not required.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines within a collaborative team environment.

• Excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented approach.

• Knowledge of key accounts payable processes, including coding invoices and expense accruals.
