Description

We are looking for a skilled Tax Manager to oversee client engagements, manage tax preparation processes, and deliver exceptional accounting services. This is a contract-to-permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in South Barrington, Illinois. The ideal candidate will excel in client communication, team leadership, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review a variety of tax returns, including individual, corporate, and partnership filings.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing tax planning and compliance guidance.

• Analyze financial statements to deliver accurate tax projections and planning strategies.

• Lead and mentor entry-level staff members and offshore teams to ensure high-quality work.

• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of all tax-related deliverables.

• Stay updated on federal and state tax regulations to maintain compliance.

• Collaborate with the team to support business development and organizational growth.

• Utilize tax software such as UltraTax and QuickBooks Online to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

• Address client inquiries and provide solutions to complex tax issues.

• Ensure adherence to firm policies and procedures while delivering exceptional service.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation and client management.

• CPA certification or Enrolled Agent designation is required.

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. tax laws and regulations.

• Proficiency in UltraTax is required.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.

• Leadership experience, including mentoring and supervising team members.

• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

• Familiarity with sales tax and use tax processes.
