Job Summary:
The Product Solutions Manager is responsible for the merchandising functions for assigned B2B categories, contributing to the development of business objectives, achieving sales and margin goals, executing the B2B strategy, and providing analytical support, insights, and recommendations to the B2B Sales team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
+ Innovation: Work broadly to understand key industry trends to bring B2B specific solutions that differentiate BJ’s B2B division. Directly collaborate with B2B Field sales teams and B2B customers. Participate in key selling activities such as quarterly business reviews and club walks
+ B2B Pricing and promotions: Collaborate with the sales, merchandising and marketing teams to set appropriate pricing strategies and develop promotional programs to drive sales among B2B customers.
+ Inventory management: Collaborate with both P&A and supply chain in monitoring and analyzing inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock availability for B2B customers, while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs. This includes monitoring dedicated space for B2B in DC’s and in high volume clubs.
+ Market research and analysis: Conducting research on customer preferences, market trends, and competitors to identify opportunities for improving merchandising strategies and optimizing product offerings.
+ Supplier management: Collaborate with merchandising and/or suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate terms, secure promotional support, and ensure timely product availability for B2B customers.
+ Logistics: Work closely with B2B sales operations, DC operations, club operations and others to ensure that product logistics are optimal and meet the needs of both BJ’s and the business member.
+ Training and support: Provide training and support to the sales team and B2B customers on product features, benefits, and merchandising best practices.
+ Cross Functional teamwork: Work directly with broader BJ’s merchant team to ensure cohesive strategies are in place that maximize value for BJ’s and business members.
+ B2B specific product assortment: Determine & maintain the range of products that should be offered to B2B customers based on market analysis, customer preferences, and business needs.
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business or operations related field
+ 2-5 years of professional merchandising or retail operations experience
+ Knowledge of vendor negotiation techniques preferred
+ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
+ Excellent written, digital and oral communication skills with ability to present to senior management
+ Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to solve complex problems and achieve common goals
+ Ability to understand data, and use the insights gained to drive improved results
This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.
In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $67,500.00 - $89,000.00
