Full stack software engineer (java/Yolk)

Description

The Enterprise Data Org is seeking a Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java and Yolk to join our team focused on modernizing legacy banking systems. This role will involve building secure, scalable backend services and developing reactive user interfaces as part of a modernization initiative moving from legacy platforms to Java/Spring Boot and modern front-end frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services using Spring Boot.

Build reactive web interfaces leveraging Yolk for internal dashboards and customer-facing applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate legacy systems to modern architectures.

Implement RESTful APIs for integration between backend and front-end systems.

Ensure compliance with banking security standards and best practices.

Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.

Required Skills

Java (Core Java, Spring Boot)

Yolk (JavaScript UI library for reactive interfaces)

Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.

Familiarity with modernization projects and legacy system migration.

Strong understanding of secure coding practices in financial environments.

Nice-to-Have

Knowledge of React or Angular for front-end development.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Familiarity with banking or financial systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
