Job Title: Packaging Line Operator/Lead Technician

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $80-87k/Annually

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Hours: 12-Hour Shifts, 3-4x/Week

Responsibilities

+ Perform full setup, changeovers, and startup readiness for filling, labeling, coding, and packet equipment.

+ Operate, monitor, and adjust automatic and semi-automatic filling lines to maintain speed, quality, and efficiency.

+ Configure labeling systems, calibrate sensors, set label positions, and resolve jams or alignment issues.

+ Set up and monitor packet machines, ensuring proper seals, registration, fill weights, and pouch quality.

+ Load and edit batch, lot, and expiry codes; maintain printhead quality and ensure clear, compliant coding.

+ Supervise a small team of technicians, assign tasks, ensure SOP and safety compliance, and provide training.

+ Perform quality checks (fill volume, torque, seals, labeling, coding) and maintain GMP and documentation accuracy.

+ Complete basic preventive maintenance and escalate complex mechanical or electrical issues.

+ Communicate effectively with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to maintain smooth production flow.

Qualifications

+ Experience in packaging or production environments such as cosmetics, fragrance, pharmaceutical, or FMCG.

+ Technical training or strong experience in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics systems.

+ Hands-on experience with multi-equipment packaging or filling lines, including changeovers and troubleshooting.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to adjust equipment, sensors, and machine settings.

+ Knowledge of GMP, quality checks, and production documentation requirements.

+ Proven ability to supervise, train, or coordinate technicians.

+ Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
