Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician B to join our team. This team member is will support to the production line with unit alignment, assembly, and test

Essential Functions:

+ Able to follow and comply with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

+ Assemble, align, and test, systems, components for optics assemblies and laser assemblies following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure finished product meets established operational and cosmetic requirements

+ Ability to work with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesives

+ Ability to complete fine/complex assemblies with small components and apply bond/adhesives potentially with use of a microscope

+ Ability to make fine adjustments while simultaneously monitoring computer/screen output of unit results

+ Requires ability to operate complex active alignment stations and tooling

+ May require ability to use, read, and interpret oscilloscopes and other measurement devices/tools

+ Working knowledge of electronic, optical and mechanical assemblies

+ Performs basic computer activities with programs provided

+ Identifies, utilizes, and performs preventive maintenance on tools and test equipment as required

+ Demonstrate comprehension of engineering prints and schematics.

+ Reports deviations from standard to appropriate resource for review, instruction and authorization and obtains quality inspection when appropriate

+ Supports Lean manufacturing efforts through continuous process improvement

+ Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures

+ Applies considerable math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

+ Cultivates a culture that assures effective cross functional team work

+ Performs job duties in a manner that complies with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies and procedures

+ Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values

+ Consistently at work and on-time

+ Participates in meetings and working groups to solve problems, communicate issues, obtain approvals, and maintains specific level of knowledge pertaining to new requirements or policies

Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0-2 years prior experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

+ Basic Station Troubleshooting Knowledge

+ Knowledge and some experience identifying process, fixture, WI improvements

+ Ability to mentor lower-level peers and provides guidance on tasks

+ Ability to engage with the operators/techs and effectively communicate/train

+ Ability to make recommendations for process improvements

+ Ability to engage with ME, QE, SQE and effectively communicate findings, improvement opportunities

+ Ability to engage with production leadership to identify and correct training gaps

+ Ability to identify and reduce waste
