About the role
As a **AS400 Support Associate** , you will make an impact by developing and maintaining critical applications that support Pharmacy Benefit Management services. You will be a valued member of our Technology & Engineering team and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

In this role, you will:
+ Design, develop, and maintain applications using AS/400 Utilities and COBOL to ensure seamless operations and system reliability.
+ Implement and optimize DB2/400 database systems to maintain data integrity and accessibility.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
+ Support IT Service Management processes to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating to Tier 3 teams when necessary.

What you need to have to be considered
+ 4–6 years of experience in software development with AS/400 Utilities and COBOL.
+ Strong knowledge of DB2/400 for database management and optimization.
+ Experience in IT Service Management processes.
+ Domain expertise in Pharmacy Benefit Management.
+ Solid understanding of Java, JavaScript, and Spring Boot.
These will help you stand out
+ Familiarity with Azure, AWS, and Salesforce.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address complex technical challenges.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
+ Ability to stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.

Salary and Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until **December 9th, 2025** .
The annual salary for this position is **between $50,000 - $70,000** , depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
