    Job Summary

    The Senior Regional Director of Dining at Microsoft provides executive leadership for multi-district Dining operations, overseeing Regional Director and operational teams to drive performance, service excellence, and business results. This role partners closely with Culinary leadership to ensure alignment between operations and culinary strategy, delivering consistent food quality, innovation, and guest experience across the program. The Senior Regional Director is accountable for operational execution, financial performance, leader development, and enterprise partnership within the Dining organization.

    Essential Functions:

    + Advocates company culture for Dining at Microsoft (the Department); ultimately responsible for values-based leadership within the business, including transparency, accountability, and appreciation of all associates – fostering an environment focused on people and growth.

    + Collaborates with the Vice President, Culinary Director, client, and internal stakeholders to foster and promote an industry-leading vision for Dining at Microsoft, ensuring alignment to enterprise strategy and key initiatives.

    + Develops and communicates business strategies to effectively achieve the defined vision & desired results; evaluates outcomes and adjusts approach to best meet business objectives.

    + Holds leaders accountable for implementation of business strategies that align to the vision, effective process management, and adherence to Department and Company values.

    + Defines & presents key metrics for measuring the success of the Department.

    + Partners with the Culinary Director as a unified leadership team, ensuring both operational and culinary strategies are aligned and executed consistently across all districts.

    + Leads cross-functional alignment on major culinary initiatives, including food innovation, seasonal programming, vendor programs, allergen controls, QA standards, and sustainability goals.

    + Collaborates with Culinary and QA to ensure safety, sanitation, and compliance standards are consistently met and reinforced across all units.

    + Ensures Regional Director and District Managers work in strong alignment with District Chefs and culinary teams to deliver high-quality food standards, support menu development, and uphold brand and program expectations.

    + Partners with stakeholders/business leaders to establish, execute, and present results related to quarterly account Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

    + Works with the internal Marketing team and Culinary team to maintain a relevant, cohesive, and engaging brand image, ensuring the guest experience reflects Microsoft and Compass standards.

    + Acts as a gatekeeper for all leadership positions in the Department, ensuring management level positions are filled with effective business leaders.

    + Brings forth innovations and initiatives—including culinary innovation, technology, and service delivery advancements—to continually elevate the Dining at Microsoft program.

    + Effective at change management within the Department, to include leading change, as well as ensuring business leaders are directing change effectively in their respective areas of the department.

    + Manages planning, budget analysis, labor strategy, and financial reporting; ensures operational and culinary decisions support subsidy, efficiency, and long-term financial health.

    + Effectively facilitates internal, external, and client-facing meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment across Dining, Culinary, Marketing, QA, Sustainability, HR, IT/DSI, and other enterprise partners.

    + Identifies critical issues & manages escalations from senior leadership and the client to ensure concerns are resolved to the satisfaction of the client and internal leadership.

    + Works directly with all department leaders—including Culinary, Finance, Marketing, QA, Projects, and HR—to achieve enterprise goals and deliver the highest level of client and customer satisfaction.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + MBA or combination of BA in business administration and equivalent work experience.

    + Minimum 5 years as Director or Department Head in similar environment, with financial accountability & working with multiple teams (i.e. Finance, Marketing, Projects, etc.).

    + Demonstrated ability in leading large, multi-faceted teams required.

    + Proficient in all aspects of client & vendor management & partnerships required.

    + Expertise and ability to analyze client needs & requests, think strategically, possess business & time management skills, as well as the initiative & judgment to quickly evaluate issues, find alternatives & take appropriate courses of action.
