    About this role

     

    The **Logistics Lead** at **Sensitech** in **Beverly, MA** is responsible for coordinating and accurately transacting all material movements between company offices and offsite warehouses. The **Logistics Lead** ensures materials are available at the right place and time, while proactively communicating any material-related concerns to Supply Chain and the Production Supervisor. Serving as the subject matter expert in assigned areas, the Logistics Lead acts as the primary point of contact for all daily Shipping and Receiving activities and functions as the liaison between the Shipping/Receiving team and the Operations Supervisor. Key responsibilities include ensuring all orders are shipped accurately and on time, documenting and communicating reasons for any delays, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and addressing operational challenges in collaboration with team and supervisors.

     

    This is a **1st shift onsite** opportunity. Willingness to work overtime to meet operational goals and customer requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    Shipping & Receiving Operations

    + Provide primary support for daily Shipping/Receiving team needs.

    + Accurately ship, receive, and transact material in accordance with company standards.

    + Ensure accurate & on time shipping of orders; document and communicate reasons for delays.

    + Contact shipping carriers as needed for scheduling and support.

    Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

    + Understand and adhere to international shipping requirements and compliance regulations.

    + Ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods (DG) and international shipment requirements.

    + Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

    Collaboration & Communication

    + Communicate and coordinate all shipping/receiving needs with employees and the Operations Supervisor.

    + Collaborate with Global offices and Supply Chain teams to address material needs or concerns.

    + Participate in cross-functional meetings to support current and future shipping / receiving / material plans.

    + Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues impacting material flow.

    Leadership & Training

    + Train Shipping/Receiving employees on all aspects of shipping and receiving processes.

    + Address employee or functional concerns promptly with the Operations Supervisor.

    + Lead by example and promote positive ethical behavior.

    Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving

    + Assist with continual process improvement initiatives.

    + Investigate non-conformances and assist in developing corrective and preventative action plans.

    Systems & Tools

    + Utilize ERP systems (Epicor & SAP) and demonstrate willingness to learn additional systems.

    Basic Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced logistics environment.

    + 1+ year of leading a team.

    + Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Associate degree.

    + Effectively work under pressure.

    + Ability to lead and influence others.

    + Attention to detail.

    + Interpersonal skills.

    + Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    + Computer literacy; MS Office (Outlook & MS Excel); ERP systems (Epicor & SAP).

    + Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsoring available.

    The hourly rate for this position is between $50.58 - $ 85.34 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
