    Description

    SAIC is looking for a **Logistics Support** person to join our team in Orange Park, FL location. The ideal candidate shall plan, develop and implement programs to coordinate physical distribution, order fulfillment, inventory management and control, and contract management activities.

    Key responsibilities are:

    + Perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.

    + Use computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.

    + Follow shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements.

    + Receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment.

    + (Un)pack or (un)wrap items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.

    + Control the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements.

    + Build relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives.

    + Integrate learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.

    + Apply job skills and company policies to complete a wide range of tasks.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    + Bachelors and 2-5 years of relevant experience, years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

    + Ability to obtain a Secret is required. US Citizenship is a must.

    + Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

    + Forklift driver experience preferred.

    + Experience with DoD preferred.
