Job Description Summary
The Proposal Specialist plays a critical role in the production and execution of business development materials within Cushman & Wakefield’s Valuation & Advisory (V&A) service line, with a primary focus on the Infrastructure Practice Group. This position supports proposal strategy, content development, and visual presentation to ensure cohesive, compelling, and client-ready materials.
The ideal candidate combines strong writing, editing, and project management skills with a sharp eye for visual design. This individual thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and works effectively with technical professionals, leadership, and cross-functional teams to deliver professional, on-brand, and high-impact proposals.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Proposal Development & Coordination
+ Manage the end-to-end development of proposals, statements of qualifications (SOQs), and related pursuit materials for the Infrastructure and Right-of-Way practice, as well as other V&A business lines as needed.
+ Coordinate with Market Leads, appraisers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to gather and verify key content including resumes, project experience, organizational charts, and pricing details.
+ Write, edit, and format proposal documents to ensure accuracy, readability, and consistency with Cushman & Wakefield brand standards and client requirements.
+ Apply light graphic design skills to create visually appealing layouts, cover pages, infographics, and section dividers that elevate proposal quality and readability.
+ Ensure all proposal deliverables are cohesive, polished, and compliant with RFP/RFQ instructions and submission requirements.
Content Management & Design Support
+ Partner with the Proposal Director and key stakeholders to develop, update, and organize reusable content, including case studies, team bios, and service descriptions.
+ Maintain a library of branded templates, graphics, and visual assets to support efficient and consistent proposal production.
+ Incorporate Cushman & Wakefield visual identity standards into all client-facing materials.
+ Collaborate with Marketing and Design teams to produce high-quality layouts and graphics as needed for special pursuits or presentations.
+ Manage version control, formatting consistency, and visual alignment across multi-volume or multi-team proposal submissions.
Opportunity Intake & Tracking
+ Support internal proposal intake processes by reviewing opportunities, summarizing requirements, assessing fit, and contributing to Go/No-Go decision discussions.
+ Collaborate with Research and Marketing teams to identify new opportunities and maintain proposal calendars and status updates.
+ Track and manage proposal activity using Cushman & Wakefield’s project management and CRM tools.
Process Improvement & Best Practices
+ Participate in post-submission reviews to capture lessons learned and identify improvement opportunities.
+ Recommend and implement workflow enhancements to streamline proposal development and review processes.
+ Contribute to the ongoing evolution of V&A’s Proposal Content Library and pursuit strategy.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
+ 3+ years of experience in proposal coordination, writing, or design within a professional services, infrastructure, or real estate environment.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat) or comparable layout/design tools.
+ Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into client-focused, persuasive narratives.
+ Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
+ Experience formatting documents and creating visual layouts that enhance readability and presentation.
+ Familiarity with real estate appraisal, infrastructure, right-of-way, or public-sector project delivery preferred.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $ 72,250.00 - $85,000.00
