This position exists to provide a critical link between film, television, and commercial production companies, government agencies, local crew and vendors, and the public. This position will be responsible for all new tax credit-qualifying productions in the state from initial credit allocation letter to post-production, ensuring full integration and cooperation across the division. This position will also be responsible to manage the details of the Film-Ready Communities program from beginning to end, including developing guidelines and procedures, recruiting local representatives, and promoting the program and locations throughout the state to the industry. This position represents Explore Minnesota Film throughout the state. The Production Liaison reports to the Deputy Director, Explore Minnesota Film and works closely with employees in other state departments, the industry, and the general public
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
+ Serve as the point person for production planning in Minnesota.
+ Expand Minnesota Film Production Database of Film-Ready Communities, Locations and Crew.
+ External promotion of Film Production Tax Credit Program.
Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years’ experience working in a project management role within the film, television, or commercial industry.
+ **Experience with** film and television production processes from development to distribution, in both indie and studio settings.
+ Thorough knowledge of film production, fundraising and financing terms.
+ Research skills in areas of state government legislation, economic impact, film industry production pipeline.
+ Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to customers, and written correspondence and effectively communicate and elicit information with tack and diplomacy.
+ Experience with budget management and the management of contracts
+ Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) at an intermediate level.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work individually on a project and in a team environment.
Bachelor’s degree in film production, media, project management in the film, or a closely related field as determined by the agency may substitute one year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment.
+ Ability to manage multiple and diverse tasks ranging from marketing to communications, stakeholder engagement, vendor contracts and legislative relations.

Physical Requirements
+ Maintain a stationary position for long periods of time
