    Job Summary and Qualifications

    **Schedule:** Tuesdays from 730-1600 and two Fridays/month from 730-1200

     

    The Patient Services Representative functions as the receptionist for all clinic services and visitors.

    What you will do in this role:

    + Completes registration, appointment calls, inputting charges, and collecting and/or posting patient payments.

    + Has General knowledge of HMO/PPO/MC-Plus insurance and government insuranceprograms.

    + Is tactful and courteous in personal contacts and telephone conversations.

    + Displays cooperation and courtesy in dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and all clinic staff.

    + Works closely with other clinic personnel for the delivery of quality patient care.

    + Accepts responsibility for completing any other tasks as needed or as requested by the Practice Manager.

    + CPT coding / ICD coding or review of the appropriateness of, filing and referrals for continued care.

    What qualifications you will need:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Prefer twoyearsrelated experience in a medical business office or registration area. Should be familiar with medical terminology.

    + Basic ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT – 4 and HCPCS knowledge
