Description of Duties
This is a high‑level administrative position responsible for directing, planning and coordinating all nursing services provided at Monroe Community Hospital. The incumbent ensures the optimum level of nursing care for all patients and residents of the hospital. The employee reports directly to and works under the general direction of the Executive Health Director. General supervision is exercised over all nursing service personnel. Does related work as required.
Monroe Community Hospital (MCH), one of the nation’s largest and most respected county-operated skilled nursing facilities, is proactively seeking an experienced and visionary Administrator of Nursing Services/ Director of Nursing to join our leadership team. Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
Graduation with a Master's degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or closely related field, plus five (5) years paid full‑time or its part‑time equivalent experience as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, one (1) year of which must have been in an administrative role; OR,
+ Graduation with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or closely related field, plus six (6) years paid full‑time or its part‑time equivalent experience as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, one (1) year of which must have been in an administrative role; OR,
+ Graduation with an Associate’s degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or closely related field, plus seven (7) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, one (1) year of which must have been in an administrative role; OR,
+ An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.
