Adecco is recruiting for a **Quality Inspector II** on 1st shift for a client in **East Syracuse, NY.** This position is temp-to-hire, paying **$18–$21/hour** .
This facility has over 50 years of experience producing prototyped and low-volume machined castings. They are looking for someone with strong attention to detail and experience inspecting parts using gauges, visual checks, and basic measuring tools.
Job Summary
The Quality Inspector II is responsible for performing visual and gauge inspections on plastic parts to ensure they meet blueprint, process sheet, and quality specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections according to blueprint requirements
+ Verify parts comply with process sheet specifications
+ Visually inspect parts for cosmetic issues such as flash, voids, texture, gloss level, etc., and make minor corrections as needed
+ Confirm correct number, placement, and depth of inserts
+ Conduct, document, and communicate quality checks and rechecks on reworked items
+ Notify supervisors/management when parts repeatedly fail quality checks to support MRB decision-making
+ Complete all required documentation, including quality logs and inspection paperwork
+ Maintain adherence to all safety policies and PPE requirements
+ Keep work areas clean and organized
+ Support ISO quality processes and internal systems
+ Apply training, knowledge, and skills to daily tasks
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Ability to read blueprints; good math skills, including basic geometry/trigonometry
+ 6+ months of experience in a quality inspection role preferred
+ Experience in foundry, machining, or injection molding environments a plus
+ Familiarity with measuring tools and basic computer use
+ CMM experience is a plus
+ Strong attention to detail and good hand–eye coordination
+ Ability to work with changing product schedules
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to stand, walk, reach, and perform repetitive motions
+ Manual dexterity and visual acuity necessary for detailed inspections
**Pay Details:** $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
