Astronics AES in Kirkland, WA is hiring for a Team Assembler on Second Shift. Hours are Monday - Thursday 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

JOB SUMMARY

The Team Assembler will develop experience and skills on a single piece flow line.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

+ Perform basic electronic, electromechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies, or subassemblies

+ Perform repetitive duties in a single piece flow mixed model cell

+ Follows methods and sequence of operations in performing component installation and fitting on assembly units, seeking guidance of Sr. Team Assembler or Lead as needed

+ Ability to use a variety of hand tools, including torque drivers

+ Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to work instructions

+ May work on other cells to perform basic assembly tasks as needed

+ Perform basic functional tests such as Hi-pot and continuity tests

+ Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

+ Required high school diploma or GED.

+ Demonstrates competency (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position)

+ Will consider applicants who are new to the workforce that are:

+ Have good dexterity and eye/hand coordination

+ Able to contribute to a positive team environment

+ **Visual Color Discrimination** - Match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness

+ **Finger Dexterity** - Make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects

Technical Skills:

+ Electronic mail software

+ Enterprise resource planning ERP software

Work Environment:

+ Indoors, environmentally controlled Manufacturing environment

+ Production demand may have times of increased time pressure

+ Must use required PPE

+ May involve long periods of sitting

+ May involve repetitive motions

+ Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed, with totes, etc.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

+ As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). **Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.**

+ **An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing pre-employment background check and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.**

Salary is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour plus an additional $2 per hour as a 2nd shift differential.
