Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Commander, Naval Region Southwest of NAVAL BASE VENTURA COUNTY. Responsibilities You will assign and explain work requirement to subordinate leaders to attain the most efficient operations and logistics/cargo movement possible. You will inspect assigned work areas periodically to ensure adherence to directive for handling, storage and security of materials and equipment. You will ensure maintenance and safe and proper operations of airfield facilities. You will perform QA for airfields facilities/ transient line operations and maintenance contractor services. You will coordinate with other air operations divisions as required to successfully complete the mission of the command. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Ensures maintenance and safe and proper operation of airfield facilities; 2) Directs the air traffic operations at the NBVC Air Terminal and Transient Line; and 3) Assigns work to subordinates in accordance with airfield priorities and establishes priorities.
