Responsibilities

This is an entry level position.

Candidate will be responsible for performing end to end system testing activities. QA Engineer I; generates test documentation and executes tests to verify that the system performs as required.

• Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans and checklists.

• Execute system tests to verify functionality and compliance with requirements.

• Record, report, and track defects using standard tools (e.g., Jira).

• Assist in organizing and maintaining the test environment.

• Collaborate with software development and operations teams to resolve issues.

• Learn and apply QA best practices and site procedures.

• Support/collaborate with senior team members as needed.

• Participate in reviews of site software specifications and assist in defining operational procedures.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).· 0–2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance (internship or academic projects acceptable).· Familiarity with QA concepts, test documentation, and defect tracking.· Basic knowledge of Linux and tools like Jira is a plus.· Understanding of SEI/CMM/ITIL frameworks is helpful but not required.· Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and willingness to learn.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $39,848 - $103,002. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
