Job Summary
This role is responsible for evaluating investment analyses and developing financial models to drive complex financing decisions across projects and corporate initiatives. It involves engaging with financial institutions, managing lender due diligence, and maintaining strong banking and internal relationships to optimize capital strategies and ensure compliance. The position also facilitates cross-functional collaboration and oversees debt service obligations to maintain financial integrity and operational continuity.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
+ Develop financial models to evaluate complex transactions, including project, structured, and corporate financing
+ Drive discussions with financial institutions and research alternative financing strategies to optimize project returns and assess company-wide impact
+ Coordinate financing terms for investment return analyses and facilitate model reviews to support decision-making
+ Establish and maintain strong banking relationships to execute future project financings and oversee existing loan facility management
+ Align operational and development teams in asset-level financing efforts
+ Lead lender due diligence for financing transactions and manage inquiries across the organization
+ Support compliance with debt documentation and ensure timely debt service payments across the project finance portfolio
+ Assist Directors, VP, and SVP with various ad hoc financial and strategic requests
Education, Experience & Skill Requirements
+ Experience gained through college degree with concentration in finance, economics or accounting and/or CFA/CPA certification
+ At least 8 years of experience in banking, project finance, corporate finance, planning or analytics
+ Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
+ Experience leading projects and/or managing people
+ Superior financial modeling skills and experience
+ Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
+ Track record of strong analytical, financial modeling, leadership and decision-making skills
+ Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of finance and financial markets
+ Experience in finance transaction execution, specifically project financing
Key Metrics
+ Strengthen the organization’s expertise and readiness to assess alternative financing solutions as new development opportunities emerge
+ Establish a standardized process for evaluating financing options and improve the quality of strategic decision-making
+ Proactively manage shifting requirements and timelines to ensure financing deadlines are met
+ Expand team capacity to support a greater volume of financing evaluations and accelerate responsiveness to emerging opportunities
