    Responsibilities

    The Radiologic Technologist plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality urgent care services by performing diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced, ambulatory care environment. This position assists providers and clinical staff in delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring all imaging and radiologic procedures meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

     

    + Perform diagnostic x-ray exams as ordered by providers using proper exposure techniques (MA, KV, time, and distance).

    + Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients and families to ensure comfort and understanding.

    + Apply radiation protection practices in accordance with regulatory and safety standards.

    + Maintain sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination.

    + Conduct regular quality control checks on radiologic and darkroom equipment to ensure optimal image quality.

    + Complete and maintain appropriate imaging records and referral logs.

    + Ensure all x-ray films and images are stored, tracked, and reviewed in a timely manner.

    Qualifications

    + Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.

    + Successfully pass ARRT certification within twelve (12) months of employment.

    + Current Iowa permi t to practice radiologic technology.

    + Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred

    + Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
