    Adecco is recruiting for a **Utility Operator** for a client in **East Syracuse, NY.** This position is temp-to-hire, paying **$17–20/hour.**

     

    We’re looking for a hands-on Utility Operator to support multiple functions within the plastics department. This role involves grit blasting, molding, finishing, and secondary operations to ensure parts meet customer specifications. If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a manufacturing environment, this could be a great fit.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate the grit blaster to prepare plastic molded parts.

    + Perform plastics molding and other department tasks as trained.

    + Complete secondary operations such as drilling, tapping with a flex arm, using fixtures, and operating an Anilam machine.

    + Mix filler and hardener according to instructions.

    + Inspect parts, identify imperfections, and fill or repair as needed.

    + Finish parts using sandpaper, drills, and sanders per job instructions.

    + Read job travelers, verify counts, and route parts to the correct next step.

    + Meet established quality and productivity standards.

    + Follow all safety procedures and use proper PPE.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    + Apply training and new skills consistently in daily tasks.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Manual dexterity and comfort working with hand tools.

    + 6+ months of surface finishing or related manufacturing experience preferred.

    + Ability to read job travelers/specifications.

    + Strong attention to detail.

    Physical Requirements

    + Ability to sit for extended periods.

    + Ability to reach, grasp tools/parts, and lift up to 35 lbs as needed.

    **Pay Details:** $17.00 to $20.00 per hour
