Clarke Community School District is looking for a Strength and Conditioning Coach.
REPORTS TO: Activities Director/Principal
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Iowa Coaching Authorization (required)
2. Previous experience (preferred)
3. Sport specific knowledge (preferred)
COORDINATES: Strength and Conditioning program
POSITION GOAL: To develop and grow student athletes, athletically and personally
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for implementation of strength and condition training
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Instruct athletes regarding techniques, rules and safety practices of equipment
+ Develops and organizes strength and conditioning program
+ Conduct practices according to agreed upon schedules
+ Supervise athletes while in the weightroom
+ Promote the entire Clarke Community Schools Athletics program
+ Set an example of the highest ethical and moral conduct
+ Foster among the participants an appreciation of the values of athletics, an attitude of good sportsmanship, and a sense of pride in self, team, school, and community
+ Promote a healthy lifestyle to student athletes
+ Communicate with Assistant to Activities Director/In-School Suspension Supervisor and Head Coach regarding roster and eligibility questions
+ Ensure that all athletes have completed and submitted all required documentation, including the concussion form, medical insurance coverage form and have undergone and passed any required medical examinations before the regular practice season begins
+ Communicate with parents in regard to rules and athletic department guidelines
+ Adhere to all safety laws and district policies
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and contract length to be determined in accordance with provisions of the Agreement between CCEA and CCSD.
EVALUATION: To be done annually by the Activities Director/Principal.
