    POSITION: Quality Assurance Program Specialist (Unclassified)

     

    Department: Quality Management

     

    Description: Incumbent will coordinate the Performance Improvement Program, Disease Management Initiatives, Joint Commission Core Measures, Risk Management, Accident Investigations and Patient Safety Goal Measures. Effective Quality Management requires close departmental collaboration and interaction. Responsibilities Include collection of data related to organizational performance improvement, root cause analysis, statistical data and preparation of written reports.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: Possession of current Louisiana license to practice professional nursing from the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and 3 years of professional nursing experience. Quality Assurance experience highly preferred.

    Substitutions:

    A baccalaureate degree in nursing may be substituted for one year of the experience.

    A master’s degree in nursing may be substituted for an additional year of the required experience.

    A doctorate in nursing may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
