PCA is seeking resumes for a promotable Plant/Property Accountant at our Tomahawk, WI Mill.
Plant/Property Accountant
+ Ensure compliance with all PCA financial policies and GAAP
+ Maintain and implement improvements to internal controls
+ Responsibility for directing the annual fixed asset physical inventory of ~7500 assets
+ Update all asset records with inventory information, prepare reports for audit documentation and prepare the information for disposal of fixed assets as necessary
+ Review all capital appropriation requests for potential disposals
+ Close all completed capital appropriation requests to fixed assets
+ Assist with the conversion of the fixed asset system as directed by corporate
+ Develop and record monthly journal entries
+ Complete various balance sheet reconciliations
+ Learn the timekeeper process in order to assist with future system conversion
+ Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
1-3 years of experience in public accounting and/or a manufacturing environment
CPA/CMA preferred or working towards either
This position is on-site at the Tomahawk, WI mill and is not remote or hybrid
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Knowledge-Skills-Abilities
Must be detailed oriented
Ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and have a broad understanding of accounting principles, concepts, and practice
Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills
Capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving
Ability to work with ambiguity and change
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
+ Starting salary range for position: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00.
+ Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
+ Paid Holidays.
+ Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
+ Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
