    BayCare is currently in search of our newest **Histologist** who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. BayCare’s top priority is the health and well-being of our communities as Tampa Bay's leading multi-specialty group with more than 600 providers practicing 45 specialties in over 175 outpatient locations throughout the Tampa Bay and west central Florida regions.

    Position Details:

    **Location:** St. Petersburg - Suncoast

    **Status:** Full Time

    **Shift:** 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (may vary)

    **Days:** Monday – Friday

    The **Histologist** is responsible for:

    + Responsible for all phases of tissue processing from fixation to final slide, including special stains and techniques

    + Maintains all files, records, and documentation required by state and federal licensing boards

    + Cleans and maintains equipment and instruments

    + Stocks and maintains supplies

    + Performs other duties as assigned

    Education

    + Required - High School or Equivalent

    + Preferred - Technical Histotechnology or Associates in a related field

    Certifications

    + Required - ASCP-HT American Society for Clinical Pathology

    + Preferred - ASCP

    Experience

    + 1 year of laboratory related

    + Mohs experience preferred
