    Job Title: Architectural DrafterJob Description

     

    We are seeking an Architectural Drafter specializing in national brand projects, including carwash, swim schools, hotel chains, and restaurants. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating architectural drawings, plans, and documentation for the development of national brand locations across multiple regions. You will work closely with architects, project managers, and national brand owners to ensure designs meet brand standards, functional requirements, and local building codes.

    Responsibilities

    + Produce detailed architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, and sections based on design concepts, site surveys, and national brand specifications.

    + Adapt and implement national brand design guidelines and specifications, ensuring consistency across multiple national brand locations.

    + Collaborate with architects, designers, project managers, engineers, and national brand stakeholders to ensure all technical and design requirements are met.

    + Research and apply local building codes, zoning laws, and regulations for various national brand locations, ensuring compliance in all designs.

    + Assist in reviewing and assessing potential national brand sites to determine suitability for proposed designs and identify any challenges that may arise.

    + Prepare clear, accurate, and organized architectural documentation, including construction drawings, redlines, revisions, and as-built drawings.

    + Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software to create precise, editable, and version-controlled drafting files.

    + Perform regular quality checks of drawings and designs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with project specifications.

    + Provide drafting support for new national brand location rollouts, ensuring timely delivery of plans and seamless integration of changes for each location.

    Essential Skills

    + Associates in Architecture.

    + 6 months to 5 years of experience in Architectural Drafting/CAD work/Production work.

    + Proficiency in Revit beyond classroom experience.

    + Experience with retail or commercial project work.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience working on franchise projects (retail, small business, etc).

    + Sketchup experience.

    + Experience with PowerPoint, Illustrator and/or Photoshop.

    + Bachelors in Architecture.

    Work Environment

    The office hours are from 8AM-5PM. Employees can work 9-hour days from Monday to Thursday and take a half-day on Friday. The office environment is family-friendly, collaborative, fast-paced, and energetic. The company has recently moved into a larger office near downtown Royal Oak.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Royal Oak, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.65/hr.
