Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Controller to lead accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role is onsite in Nashville, TN, and requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities. The Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting, compliance, and financial analysis to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

+ Direct and manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, month-end and year-end close, and financial statement preparation.

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control policies.

+ Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.

+ Manage cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll functions.

+ Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.

+ Lead system implementations or ERP upgrades as needed.

+ Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.

+ 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.

+ Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

+ Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, SAP, or similar platforms.

+ Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.

+ Excellent communication and leadership skills.
