    Amentum** is looking for a **Registry Clerk** to join our team in **Springfield, VA.

     

    Must have and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Government security clearance.

     

    Primary duties include preparing incoming mail for distribution and processes outgoing mail. Distribute and collect mail, determine and affix postage and maintain records on postage, registered mail and packages without direct supervision. Additional duties include complying with and supporting established procedures to encompass inbound and outbound mail processing, including unclassified and classified mail up to and including TS/SCI and using proper handling procedures for all classified mail in addition to overseeing pickup and delivery schedules.

    Responsibilities

    + Responsibilities also include complying with and supporting established procedures to encompass inbound and outbound classified mail up to and including TS/SCI using proper wrapping and handling procedures for all classified mail in addition to overseeing pickup and delivery schedules.

    + Process classified FEDEX/Registered mail and verifies the necessary documentation.

    + Verify the material classification to insure it can be shipped through FEDEX /USPS

    + Receive incoming packages from world-wide sources and determine recipient

    + Notify NGA employees via SBU/NGA Net once a package is ready distribution

    + Ship outgoing packages to other facilities world-wide and determine recipient

    + Support mail handling personnel at the classified document registry at the TS/SCI level and assist in maintaining accountabilities for all classified documents and magnetic media

    + Process incoming and outgoing Defense Courier Service Material, Top Secret and above

    Minimum Knowledge

    + Possess excellent verbal communication skills and conduct business with professional etiquette.

    + Experience in demonstrating flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, fast paced production environment.

    + Possess basic computer and keyboard skills Operate X-ray scanning equipment Operate mail and letter opening equipment

    + Valid State Driver’s License with no traffic violations within the last year.

     

    Work Environment

     

    Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds per package and maneuver up to 75 pounds
