8 hour Evening shifts, 40 hours per week
JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
Licensed Practical Nurse assume responsibility and accountability for assigned patients. Licensed practical nurses provide nursing services to assure resident safety and attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well –being of each resident, as determined by resident assessment and implementing plan of care.
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Utilize nursing process which includes patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning of nursing care, implementing interventions, and evaluation of patient status in relationship to above
2.Executes regimen prescribed by physician within guidelines of nursing practice
3.Performs and/or supervises activities/functions which require knowledge and skill level currently ascribed to the licensed practical nurse and seeks assistance when these are beyond scope of preparation
4.Provides leadership and direction in the supervision of others in carrying out the nursing process

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of approved Nursing school
Required Licensure and Certifications Current LPN license in State of Iowa
Current basic Life Support for Healthcare providers from American heart Association Dependent Adult Mandatory reporter training 30 days upon fire and recertification every 5 years. Obtains education requires for license renewal.
