    Job Title: Pharmacy Technician II

    Job Description

    The Pharmacy Technician II position supports pharmacists by managing drug therapy orders, interpreting and dispensing prescriptions, and maintaining patient and pharmacy records. This role collaborates with Leads and Supervisors, resolves issues, and completes project tasks, ensuring proficiency in all pharmacy operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist pharmacists with pharmacy practice in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and corporate policies by accurately interpreting prescription orders and entering them into the pharmacy system.

    + Support pharmacists in obtaining accurate verbal orders for product replacement and missing prescription information from healthcare providers.

    + Manage patient adherence processes and schedule medication deliveries according to Pharmacy Solutions guidelines.

    + Assist patients with treatment compliance by updating current medications, allergies, and medical conditions, and triage calls to Nursing and/or Pharmacists as necessary.

    + Communicate with health insurance payors and providers using internal and web tools to investigate benefits and verify prescription coverage.

    + Recommend process and system improvements to increase efficiency and productivity in pharmacy operations and communicate ideas with supervisors.

    + Interact professionally and efficiently with internal and external teams to ensure accurate provision of services to patients.

    + Collaborate with necessary personnel to support changing business priorities by executing specific tasks related to patients, products, or services provided by Pharmacy Solutions.

    + Handle inbound and outbound calls, prioritize work, organize and perform testing as business requires, and complete other tasks as designated by management.

    + Check pharmacist voicemail and perform additional responsibilities as deemed necessary for business management.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is fully on-site with a flexible work schedule between the hours of 7am and 7pm.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
