Responsibilities
1. Ensureproper set up of presses toattainproduction rates with minimal scrap.
2. Supplyand stir inkwellsas necessary.
3. Monitorand ensure print quality.
4. Washprint blankets andplatesas necessary.
5.Ensureall color heads not in use are cleaned and ready for the next production run.
6. Organizeyour work area and prepare for thesetupof your next job.
7. Maintainyour section in a clean and orderly fashion.
8. Ensureprinting plates are cleaned after each use and returned to theproper location.
9. Ensureplate roomremainsclean and organized daily.
10. Monitorthe production schedule for special instructions.
11.Monitorinventory levels of all printing supplies and report low inventory levels to management.
12. Monitorblank cup inventory and ensure management is aware of low inventory.
13. Monitordepartment production lines for quality defects andadjusting
14.Maintainand enforce all company safety, environmental, anddepartment ofhealth requirements.
15. Relieve technicians for breaks andassistoperator floats with breaks if necessary.
Qualifications
1. Highschool diploma / GED equivalent.
2. Strongorganizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
3. Priorprinting experience with good mechanical ability.
4. Provenability to lead, motivate, and direct employees.
5. Abilityto lift35pounds.
6. Abilityto climb ladders / steps.
7. Abilityto stand and walk for a minimum of5hours during a12-hourshift.
8. Abilityto work in a dusty environment.
9. Visualacuity of at least 20/40 corrected vision for distance and a minimum near vision ability to read7-pointfont at 12 inches.
10. Abilityto reach and lift overhead.
11. Must have completed Printing Press Tech Training Checklist
