Job Summary
_Why do we need you?_
The Indirect Tax Specialist will be a key member of the Indirect Tax team for all Saint-Gobain and CertainTeed business units in North America. They will work closely with others in the department to ensure sales & use tax compliance, assist in tax audits, research indirect tax matters, and working in several platforms to support the function.
_Responsibilities_

+ Participate in the ERP and tax systems integration of new acquisitions.
+ Assist in the preparation and timely filing of indirect tax returns, payments, and reports.
+ Assist in indirect tax audits as needed.
+ Conduct research on a wide range of tax issues. Review results with other team members and communicate to the businesses as needed.
+ Assist Manager in relationship with third-party providers for indirect tax compliance. (Currently Grant Thornton, Avalara, Vertex, Tax matrix, Ryan & Co. Canada)
Qualifications
_To make sure nothing is forgotten._
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business required.
+ Master’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
+ 3-5 years of experience in indirect tax compliance in multi-jurisdictional environment.
+ 3-5 years of experience managing tax audits.
+ Experience with indirect tax engines such as Vertex/AvaTax as well as tax research software and SAP ERP systems.
