    CMM Operator - Miramar Location

     

    Primary Objective

     

    Conduct **mechanical and visual inspections** of machined parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies based on customer blueprints and specifications.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform **first article, in-process, and final inspections** .

    + Verify materials, processes, and certifications from sub-tier vendors.

    + Complete all paperwork per **AS9100 standards** .

    + Calibrate inspection tools and enforce quality system procedures (ISO, military, and customer specs).

    + Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of tools and stock.

    + Assist in training other inspectors.

    Qualifications

    + **Experience:**

    + Minimum **4–8 years** in mechanical inspection (varies by listing).

    + Must work to **tight tolerances** in a high-volume environment.

    + **Skills:**

    + Proficient in **CMM programming** (Mitutoyo Geomeasure 6000 and/or PC-DMIS 4.2 or later).

    + Ability to interpret complex blueprints and perform advanced job shop math.

    + Familiar with GD&T (ANSI Y14.5), Cartesian coordinate systems.

    + Knowledge of AS9100 documentation requirements.

    + **Physical:**

    + Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
