Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

Join our team as a Project Manager where you will oversee the design and engineering of natural gas piping and compressor/metering stations for the midstream natural gas industry. Your primary role will be to meet all contractual requirements of assigned projects, focusing on technical performance, cost management, and schedules. You will also develop and implement business development plans to build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and new clients.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee day-to-day operations including design, project engineering, right-of-way surveys, acquisitions, procurement, construction management, and inspection.

+ Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction with total project performance.

+ Promote and procure additional projects by showcasing high-quality performance on current projects.

+ Promote company capabilities and values.

+ Develop and verify project scope, evaluate impacts of scope changes on design, cost, and schedule, direct project teams, control costs, monitor quality of deliverables, and develop risk mitigation plans.

+ Collaborate with functional managers to lead project teams from conception to close-out.

+ Review and approve client invoices.

+ Provide technical guidance to multidiscipline engineers in designing transmission and distribution natural gas pipeline systems, liquids pipelines, pump stations, compressor stations, measurement & regulating stations, and associated facilities.

+ Travel as required for site visits, key meetings, and depending upon project or client needs.

+ Lead proposal development for new projects.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 10 years of project management experience.

+ Experience in utility projects (gas or electric).

+ ABET Engineering Degree or proven technical experience.

+ Experience leading projects across various engineering disciplines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ ABET Engineering Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred.

+ Project management experience in the oil and gas industry.

+ PMP Certification is preferred.

Work Environment

This position offers a flexible work environment with options for remote work. Candidates not local to Lexington can work remotely, with a requirement to be in the office one day a month. Local candidates can enjoy a hybrid schedule of three days in-office and two days at home. Travel to project sites is required approximately 10-15% of the time. The medium-sized office, located in Kentucky, consists of around 60 professionals including field engineers and project managers working in a multi-discipline setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
