Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong bookkeeping skills and proficiency in QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices accurately and ensure proper coding and verification.

• Prepare and distribute payments to vendors promptly while reconciling statements to address discrepancies.

• Manage employee expense reports, including processing and reimbursement.

• Generate and issue invoices to customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

• Process customer payments and post them to the appropriate accounts.

• Reconcile customer accounts regularly to identify and resolve any outstanding issues.

• Track and manage cash flow related to accounts receivable and generate aging reports.

• Enter financial data into accounting software efficiently and maintain organized records.

• Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams to address inquiries and resolve issues.

• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions. Requirements • At least 3 years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.

• Advanced knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile accounts accurately.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in resolving discrepancies.

• Effective communication skills for working with vendors, customers, and internal teams.

• Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.

• Familiarity with generating financial reports and maintaining organized records.
