As a **Security Officer - Industrial Access Control** in **Niskayuna, NY** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an ACCESS_CONTROL professional in a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. This is a driving post. What You'll Do:

+ Assist with access control procedures at the location, verifying identification and credentials for all employees, visitors, and contractors entering or exiting the premises.

+ Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activities by maintaining a visible presence at designated access points.

+ Provide customer service to all individuals at the location by communicating security-related procedures and responding to questions or concerns.

+ Carry out site-specific policies and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and client leadership.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Maintain accurate logs of all access control activities and report any irregularities or incidents to appropriate personnel.

+ Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.

+ Two or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or a college degree is required.

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Five or more years of security-related experience is required.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
